Faer Pharma is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all of our customers, including people with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the user experience for everyone and to apply the relevant accessibility standards across faerpharma.ca.
Conformance Target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. WCAG 2.1 AA is also the standard referenced under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Accessible Canada Act.
Measures We Take
To support accessibility, we use semantic HTML, provide text alternatives for meaningful images, maintain keyboard-navigable menus and forms, and review new content and features against WCAG 2.1 AA before and after publishing.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of the site may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of the following limitations and are actively working to resolve them:
- Some older blog post images may be missing descriptive alternative text.
- Certain third-party or embedded content (such as payment fields and product carousels) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA, as it is controlled by external providers.
- A small number of promotional banners may have colour contrast below the recommended ratio.
- Some downloadable documents (PDFs) may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of faerpharma.ca. If you encounter a barrier or have difficulty using any part of our site, please contact us at [email protected]. Please include the page URL and a description of the issue so we can respond effectively. We try to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 10 business days.
Remediation Timeline
When an accessibility issue is reported or identified, we prioritize it based on severity and impact. Our goal is to resolve critical barriers that prevent access to information or completing a purchase within 30 days, and to address remaining issues within 90 days. We also review the site against WCAG 2.1 AA on an ongoing basis as part of our regular maintenance, and we update this statement as improvements are made.
